I am pleased to announce that Captain Tim Light, the Admissions Officer responsible for North Carolina, will be traveling from West Point to conduct AIM Briefings and meet with prospective West Point candidates in September 2017.
The one-hour AIM Briefings focus on the admissions process and standards as well as offer an overview of cadet life...especially on academics, fitness, and military training. Captain Light and West Point Field Force Representatives from North Carolina will be available to meet individually with prospective candidates and their parents.
You may view the dates, times, and locations for the four AIM Briefings in Raleigh (September 11th); Fayetteville (September 12th); Charlotte (September 13th); and the Asheville-area (September 14th) by clicking on the below link (then scroll down). Should students (and/or their parents) choose to attend any of these Admissions Briefings, please RSVP at the location on the link.

Captain Light will also attend the September 9th Academy Day in Greensboro which will include all service academies, but with much shorter informational briefings on each school.

Did you know that military students have 24/7 access to free tutoring which is usually $20.00 an hour?
Military students have access to free online tutoring through tutor.com. The students can access the tutoring 24/7 – even during the school day. Tutor.com connects the student with a live tutor who can help with a homework problem or teach the concept from the beginning. Students can also upload essays and get feedback. This is a nice resource to have and many of our military families could benefit.
